Image of Black Nazarene brought to Quirino Grandstand

With only days left before the annual Traslacion, the image of the Black Nazarene was transferred to the Quirino Grandstand on Monday.

Mav Gonzales reported on State of the Nation with Jessica Soho that the image was transported in a closed van and escorted by several motorcycles.

The Black Nazarene was taken from the Quiapo Church and brought to the stage of the Quirino Grandstand as part of preparations for the Traslacion on Thursday.

The National Capital Region Police Office and Manila Police District earlier assured the public that they will tighten security along the route of the Traslacion for the safety of the devotees.

Manila Mayor Isko Moreno also declared a suspension of classes in all levels, both public and private schools, as well as office work in the local government on Thursday.
