Suspect in series of robberies in Greenhills arrested
A man suspected of being involved in a series of robberies in North Greenhills was arrested by police authorities early Tuesday morning, San Juan Mayor Francis Zamora announced.
"Noong December talagang series of robberies in Greenhills [...] We've been monitoring since [the] second or third week of December," Zamora said in a press conference held Tuesday afternoon.
Zamora said that the man entered a house in North Greenhills at around 1 a.m. in the morning.
"Kaya po siya na-diskubre dahil 'yung second floor nung pinasok niyang bahay ay nag-ingay 'yung aso tapos nagising 'yung babae at nagsisigaw," a San Juan police officer added.
According to Zamora, after the San Juan City Police was contacted, the 23-year-old suspect ran and hid in a vacant lot where he was arrested at 3 a.m.
Zamora said that the police recovered a gun and some cash from the suspect, who was named in the video.
According to Zamora, the suspect will be charged on Tuesday afternoon. He also encouraged victims of the suspect to coordinate with the police.
— Joahna Lei Casilao/BM, GMA News
