Pasig distributes infrared thermometers to public schools
Pasig City on Monday distributed infrared thermometers to each of the city's public schools and highly-populated areas as a precautionary measure amid the threat of the 2019-novel coronavirus acute respiratory disease (2019-nCoV ARD).
Mayor Vico Sotto said the infrared thermometers are being used to check people entering the public schools and other areas such as the city hall.
Infrared thermometers deployed at the entrance of every Pasig public school and highly populated areas like City Hall.

On Sunday, Health Secretary Francisco Duque III confirmed the second nCoV case and first death in the country and outside China.
Duque said in a press conference that the 44-year-old Chinese male companion of the first confirmed case of the virus in the country, a 38-year-old Chinese woman, also tested positive for the epidemic and died on Saturday.
Both Chinese nationals came from Wuhan, China and were confined at San Lazaro Hospital.
Meanwhile, eight out of the over 70 people being tracked down by the Department of Health for having been in contact with the Chinese couple are exhibiting coughs and colds.
Earlier, the DOH said it already recorded 80 persons under investigation with two testing positive (the Chinese couple), 30 testing negative and 48 awaiting results.
