Relieved SPD chief named as NCRPO’s deputy director for operations —Sinas

National Capital Region Police Office director Police Major General Debold Sinas on Friday announced that former Southern Police District chief Police Brigadier Gen. Nolasco Bathan has been designated as the NCRPO’s deputy regional director for operations.

At a press conference, Sinas said this was actually a promotion for Bathan, who replaced Police Brig. Gen. Albert Ignatius Ferro, who now heads the Central Visayas regional police office.

Meanwhile, Sinas said Police Colonel Emmanuel Peralta was SPD’s new acting district director.

Earlier reports said Bathan was relieved as SPD chief due to alleged failure to address illegal gambling in his area.

Sinas said he does not have any idea on the allegation. — MDM, GMA News
