Cops seize from student P1.2M worth of marijuana in Quezon City

Authorities seize P1.2 million worth of marijuana bricks from a student at a transport terminal in Cubao, Quezon City early Thursday morning.

Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency regional director Joel Plaza identified the suspect as Karlo Jose Pio Ricafrente, 24, resident of Santolan, Pasig City.

The seized marijuana weighed more or less ten kilograms.

Plaza said cases for violation of Sections 4 and 11 of Art. 2 of Republic Act No. 9165 are being prepared against Ricafrente.  —LBG, GMA News
