Criminal raps filed vs. Greenhills hostage-taker Paray
Criminal complaints have already been filed against Alchie Paray, the dismissed security guard who held dozens of people hostage inside a mall in Greenhills, San Juan City last Monday.
According to the Eastern Police District (EPD) on Wednesday, Paray was slapped with frustrated murder, serious illegal detention, illegal possession of firearm and ammunition, and illegal possession of explosive and incendiary device.
The complaints were filed before the San Juan City Prosecutor's Office.
Paray is presently detained at the city police station.
Paray held hostage at least 50 individuals on Monday because to voice his displeasure of the alleged irregularities and unfair treatment in the security firm he was affiliated to.
One was hurt during the hostage-taking incident.
Paray was even offered P1 million by the owner of the security agency but he refused to accept it.
Before he was arrested by authorities, an armed Paray was allowed to face members of the media to air his sentiments. —KBK, GMA News
