Rockwell Land confirms 2 COVID-19 cases in Makati tower

Two confirmed cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) are from the Joya North Tower of the Rockwell Center in Makati, the Rockwell Land Corporation confirmed Thursday.

“As of March 11, 2020, we can confirm two positive cases of COVID-19 in Joya North Tower, Rockwell Center, Makati,” they said in a statement.

“One of the residents is now under the care of a hospital. The other two members of the family are now on self-quarantine.”

Rockwell Land said they are already coordinating with those who came in close contact with the infected residents.

They added that they are implementing precautionary measures against the coronavirus, including the closure of some public areas and regular sanitation and disinfection of common areas.

The number of COVID-19 cases in the country rose to 52 on Thursday after the DOH recorded three new infections.  —LDF, GMA News
