MRT3 operations remain smooth, orderly on Friday morning
The flow of passengers taking the Metro Rail Transit Line 3 (MRT-3) at the North EDSA Station remained smooth early morning on Friday.
A report on Unang Balita said there were no long queues at the station and the flow of passengers was smooth and orderly.
As of 5:30 a.m., nine trains were operational, nine were running, and seven trains were preparing to be on the tracks.
Last Friday evening, President Rodrigo Duterte, in his address to the nation amid the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) threat, pointed out that in the event that Metro Manila will be placed under community quarantine, all operations of the rail systems (elevated LRT-1, LRT-2 and MRT-3), and the Philippine National Railways must continue.
But the President emphasized that the Department of Transportation must issue guidelines to ensure the “social distancing” policy. —LBG, GMA News
