Genesis Transport releases sked of bus last trips before community quarantine
Genesis Transport Service Inc. on Saturday advised passengers of its last trips going to and out of Metro Manila hours before the implementation of the community quarantine amid the COVID-19 threat.
In an advisory, Genesis said it will no longer hold trips on Sunday, starting at 12:01 a.m.
The following are the last trips for Saturday:
- Baguio - 6:00 p.m.
- Balanga - 7:00 p.m.
- Mariveles - 5:00 p.m.
- Baler to Metro Manila - 3:00 p.m.
- Baler to Cabanatuan - 4:00 p.m.
- Olongapo - 5:00 p.m.
P2P buses will have the following schedules:
- Clark to North Edsa (Trinoma) - 9:30 p.m.
- Clark to NAIA - 9:00 p.m.
Meanwhile, all routes from Metro Manila to the provinces leave at 9:00 p.m.
This is in accordance with President Rodrigo Duterte's directive to restrict land, domestic air, and domestic sea travel to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
The Philippines has also raised Code Red Sub-Level 2 alert due to the COVID-19 threat.
The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority on Saturday said it will impose a curfew in the National Capital Region as part of community quarantine measures to contain the spread of COVID-19.
In press conference, MMDA General Manager Jojo Garcia announced that all the mayors in Metro Manila agreed to issue a resolution to impose a curfew from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m., starting March 15 until April 14.
On Friday, health authorities announced 12 new COVID-19 cases in the country, bringing the total tally of confirmed cases to 64.
On Saturday, however, Batangas confirmed it had a new case of COVID-19, bringing the total of infected persons in the province to three. —Joahna Lei Casilao/KG, GMA News
