Another NCRPO personnel recovers from COVID-19
Another personnel of the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO), who got infected with the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), has recovered from the illness.
This brings the total number of recoveries from Metro Manila police to four.
On Friday, the NCRPO said the latest patient to recover was confined at the Research Institute for Tropical Medicine (RITM) for two weeks. He was discharged on Thursday.
The said patient will still be subjected to health security protocols and will still observe a 14-day quarantine, according to the NCRPO.
"We celebrate with the family, friends, and loved ones of our comrade, Patient No. 3, for his recovery. We are proud of him for fighting a good fight," NCRPO chief Police Major General Debold Sinas said in a press release.
"We can't be any happier to see him back. His experience is a clear manifestation that the good Lord blesses his cops in the frontlines and strengthens us amid this crisis,” he added.
At present, the NCRPO has nine COVID-19 confirmed cases with no fatalities"We are not COVID-resistant. As we head on to the frontline, the risks that we will be infected by this disease is high. Hence, we are strictly implementing precautionary measures," Sinas said.
"This is our duty and we will carry on the task. So please, stay home to prevent the virus from spreading further," he added.
Metro Manila cops have been securing the boundaries of the metro to ensure that the virus will no longer thrive and spread to nearby provinces and towns while the enhanced community quarantine is still in place.—AOL, GMA News
