Baclaran church open on Good Friday, tells devotees to wear face mask

Devotees who made their way to the National Shrine of Our Mother of Perpetual Help, also known as the Redemptorist Church or Baclaran Church, in Paranaque City on Good Friday were allowed to enter the church if they are wearing face mask.

The "no entry, no face mask" protocol was being implemented due to the enhanced community quarantine to curb the spread of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic. 

The quarantine, enforced starting March 17 and will be until April 30, banned mass gatherings, including the celebration of masses.

Before the quarantine, parishioners of Baclaran Church, visit the church on Wednesdays.
