Caloocan health office closed after OIC tests positive for COVID-19

The Caloocan City Health Office has been shut down after its officer-in-charge was found positive for COVID-19 earlier this week.

According to Ivan Mayrina's report on "24 Oras", Dr. Evelyn Cuevas has been asymptomatic but has placed herself on quarantine.

However, ten members of the health office staff also needed to go on quarantine after they had a meeting with Cuevas on Monday.

Cuevas had herself swabbed on April 9 as part of her and her fellow health workers' privilege. Her results came back late Monday.

Ako po'y laging naka face mask," she added.

Mayor Oscar Malapitan said the local government had identified city employees who are registered nurses but are assigned in other departments.

Malapitan said they had been asked to temporarily man the health office while most of its regular staff remained on quarantine.
