PLM to pass all students amid COVID-19 threat

All students of Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila will get a passing grade in light of the impact of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic, the Manila Public Information Office said on Wednesday.

Quoting the university president Noel Leyco, the city information office made the announcement on its Facebook page.

“Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila (PLM) President Noel Leyco says all students will receive a passing mark this semester ‘in recognition of the extremely serious impact of COVID-19’ on their academic life,” it said.

Admission test

Meanwhile, the university on Wednesday released the partial results of its Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila Admission Test (PLMAT) on its website at www.plm.edu.ph.

PLM explained that the release of PLMAT results was initially set on April 15, but it was rescheduled a week later due to suspension of work at the university amid community quarantine.

The entrance test was conducted in several batches from November 2019 to March 2020, with applicants across the country.

“The last two PLMAT batches scheduled for March 15 and 22 were cancelled due to the implementation of the Luzon-wide Enhanced Community Quarantine,” PLM said in a statement.

PLM said the new schedule will be announced after the resumption of work at the university. —Joviland Rita/KG, GMA News
