Suspected World War II bomb unearthed at NAIA
An unexploded vintage bomb, believed to have been used during World War II, was discovered at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) on Wednesday afternoon.
According to Luisito Santos' report on Super Radyo dzBB on Wednesday, the Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) said that the bomb was found in a construction site along runway 1331 at around 3 p.m.
Discovered by a contractor who was working on runway lights, the bomb is the second to be discovered in the month of April, according to MIAA assistant general manager Ricardo Medalla.

The bomb disposal team of the NAIA immediately went to the area.
The explosive device was then handed to the Philippine National Police and operations of runway lights have gone back to normal. -Joahna Lei Casilao/MDM, GMA News
