QC COVID-19 cases climb to 1,524


The number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Quezon City went up to 1,524 as of Saturday at 7 p.m., the Quezon City local government said.

This is six more than the number of confirmed cases (1,518) as of Friday night. 

Of the total number of 1,524 cases as of Saturday, 687 are active.

Eleven more recoveries were recorded as of Saturday, bringing the total number of recoveries to 348.

The death toll, meanwhile, was revised to 133 from the 134 figure on Friday, upon confirmation with Barangay Loyola Heights.

Thirty-four barangays remain under extreme enhanced community quarantine as of Saturday. These are:

Meanwhile, as of Saturday night, there were 16 rooms still available in the city's HOPE 1 quarantine facility for confirmed COVID-19 patients and suspected patients.

The HOPE 2 facility, meanwhile, has 168 more beds available. —KG, GMA News
