More than P19M suspected shabu seized in Caloocan drug ops


Over P19 million worth of suspected shabu was seized during a buy bust operation in Deparo, Caloocan City on Wednesday night.

The National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) on Thursday said the operation was conducted by operatives of the Northern Police District in Blk. 6 Lot 49 Gilmar Subdivision, Barangay 168, Zone 15, District 1 which resulted in the arrest of eight drug suspects.

They were identified as Arthur Salguero, 49; Rose Cruz, 31; Herchill Resco; Jhon Dale Estorninos; William Tante, 39; Joshua De Andres, 24; Albert Delema, 27; and Ricky Nelson Cruz, 57.

The operation stemmed from an anti-drug operation conducted last May 11 wherein four drug suspects were nabbed. Authorities then wanted to identify their source of illegal drugs.

Seized in the May 13 operation were 18 pieces large knot-tie transparent plastic bag containing suspected shabu; ten medium-sized, heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing suspected shabu; a gold tea bag containing suspected shabu; one open-cut plastic transparent sachet containing suspected shabu; a thin strip of aluminum foil with traces of suspected shabu; a rolled aluminum foil used as improvised tooter with traces of suspected shabu; two disposable lighters; a weighing scale; a shoe box; three mobile phones; one Toyota Vios; and some boodle money.

 


Authorities said the confiscated illegal drugs weighed more or less 2.8 kilograms, which has a worth of P19,040,000

The suspects will be facing charges for violation of Section 5 (Sale of Dangerous Drugs), Section 11 (Possession of Dangerous Drugs), Section 13 (Pot session) Section 12 (Possession of Drug Paraphernalia) and Section 26 (Conspiracy) of Republic Act No. 9165.—AOL, GMA News
