Novaliches District Hospital to scale down ops after health workers test positive for COVID-19
The Novaliches District Hospital will temporarily limit its operations after 22 of its staff contracted the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).
In a 24 Oras report by Sandra Aguinaldo on Monday, Hospital Director Eduardo Aldana said the infection of their staff may have been caused by patients who lied about having COVID-19 symptoms.
“Hindi nila vino-voluntary na totoong may symptoms ka ba? Puro wala just to be admitted. Tapos mamaya makikita mo, ubo na nang ubo, may lagnat,” he said.
The infected staff are already under quarantine.
Meanwhile, no more COVID-19 patients are confined at the hospital.
The disinfection of the hospital will run from May 26 to 28.
“We are preparing our hospital para do’n sa second wave at saka magbabago na po ‘yung community quarantine,” Aldana said. —Julia Mari Ornedo/LDF, GMA News
