Quezon City reports 2,488 COVID-19 cases
The Quezon City government on Wednesday reported that, based on information from the Department of Health, there are 36 new coronavirus disease (COVID-19) cases in the city, raising the total number to 2,488 cases.
The number of confirmed cases with complete addresses in Quezon City is now at 2,390 while the number of cases validated by the QC Epidemiology and Surveillance Unit and District Health Offices is 2,322.
There are currently 928 active COVID-19 cases in the city with 1,195 recoveries and 199 deaths.
Quarantine facility
As of June 9, the HOPE 1 quarantine facility has 9 available beds for COVID-19 confirmed and suspected patients. There are 29 confirmed patients, 3 suspected and probable patients in HOPE 1 facility.
As of June 6 at the HOPE 2 quarantine facility, 221 beds are occupied by confirmed and suspected COVID-19 patients while 73 beds are available. Those who have been tested in QC’s community-based testing are brought in HOPE 2 for self-isolation while waiting for their results.
The HOPE 3 Facility opened to accommodate confirmed and suspected COVID-19 nursing mothers and their babies. The facility is equipped with 84 beds, cribs, bassinets and other baby essentials. As of June 9, a total of 69 patients are admitted in the facility. -- BAP, GMA News
