Quezon City gov't reports 16 new COVID-19 cases, bringing total to 2,689
The Quezon City government on Tuesday reported that based on information from the Department of Health, there are 16 new cases of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in the city, bringing the total to 2,689 cases.
There are 2,608 cases that have complete addresses in Quezon City while 2,569 cases have been validated by the QC Epidemiology and Surveillance Unit and District Health Offices.
As of June 16, 2020 there are 953 active COVID-19 cases in the city.
There are 33 new recoveries, bringing the total number to 1,402. The death toll stands at 214 with one new death reported.
Quarantine facility
As of June 15, HOPE 1 quarantine facility has 3 available beds for COVID-19 confirmed and suspected patients. There are 34 confirmed patients, 4 suspected and probable patients in HOPE 1 facility.
On Monday, at the HOPE 2 quarantine facility, there are 201 beds are occupied by confirmed and suspected COVID-19 patients while 93 beds are available. Those who have been tested in QC’s community-based testing are brought in HOPE 2 for self-isolation while waiting for their results.
Meanwhile, the HOPE 3 facility opened to accommodate confirmed and suspected COVID-19 nursing mothers and their babies. The facility is equipped with 84 beds, cribs, bassinets, and other baby essentials. As of June 15, a total of 66 patients are admitted in the facility. -- BAP, GMA News
