Two barangays in Caloocan City placed under lockdown due to COVID-19 threat


Two barangays in Caloocan City were placed under a one-week lockdown starting Sunday, July 26.

These are Barangay 95 and Barangay 97, according to a report by James Agustin on GMA News' Unang Balita on Monday.

The lockdown, which was imposed to prevent the further spread of COVID-19, will last until August 1. 

As of Sunday, there were 20 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Barangay 95, and 13 in Barangay 97.

The total number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Caloocan City was 2,083 as of Sunday. Of this number, 1,201 have recovered while 103 have died.
