Sampaloc has highest number of active COVID-19 cases in Manila

Sampaloc in Manila has recorded the highest number of active COVID-19 cases in Manila as of Friday.

Data from the Manila local government unit showed that as of Friday, there were 292 active cases of COVID-19 in Sampaloc.

Next came Tondo 1 District with 255 active cases, Tondo 2 with 133, and Sta. Mesa with 111.

Suspect cases, deaths

Tondo 1 District had the most number of suspect COVID-19 cases at 97 and the most number of deaths at 78.

However, it also registered the highest number of recoveries at 991.

The total number of active COVID-19 cases in Manila is 1,253.

Meanwhile, Manila Mayor Isko Moreno announced that the LGU has allocated P200 million for the purchase of COVID-19 vaccines should any vaccine be available anytime. —Jonathan Andal/KG, GMA News
