COVID-19 cases in QC rise to 8,240
There are now 8,240 cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in Quezon City, the local government announced Thursday.
Total recoveries also rose to 5,756 after 166 more residents recovered from the respiratory illness, while the city’s death toll climbed to 338 with 10 new fatalities.
There are also 2,045 active cases undergoing treatment or quarantine.
Out of the 8,240 cases, 8,165 have been confirmed to have complete addresses in QC.
Meanwhile, the QC Epidemiology and Surveillance Unit and District Health Offices validated 224 more cases on Thursday, bringing the total number of local government-validated cases to 7,915.
Nationwide, the Department of Health has logged over 143,000 COVID-19 cases as of Thursday afternoon. — Julia Mari Ornedo/BM, GMA News
