Rizal Monument in Luneta to be reopened Oct. 5
The area of the Luneta Park where the monument of Dr. Jose Rizal stands will be reopened to the public starting October 5, Monday.
According to Raffy Tima’s report on “24 Oras” on Wednesday, local authorities have been preparing for the reopening of a portion of Luneta.
“Kasi GCQ, we’re still maintaining sana ‘yung 10 percent lang na capacity so siguro mga less than 2,000 lang muna ang ating i-allow at a given time,” Eduardo Villalon Jr. of the National Parks Development Committee said.
When the quarantine restrictions were loosened in July, one part of the Luneta was reopened but only from 5 a.m. to 9 a.m.
“Right now, ang atin pa lang pinapayagan ngayon is physical activities,” Villalon said.
