Manila starts offering free drive-thru RT-PCR COVID-19 swab test at Quirino Grandstand

The Manila City Government on Monday began offering free drive-thru RT-PCR COVID-19 swab testing at the Quirino Grandstand in Rizal Park, Manila.

The testing service is made available for free to anyone, whether a Manila resident or not, according to a report by Jonathan Andal on GMA News' Unang Balita on Monday.

Those who will avail of the test just need to set an appointment and arrive at the venue in a vehicle.

No walk-ins are allowed. Only 100 individuals will be accommodated each day.

The testing center to be handled by the Manila Health Department and the Manila Emergency Operating Center (MEOC) will be open from Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 12 noon.

For appointments, interested individuals may contact the MEOC at 09052423327; 09983226367; 09636023177; and 09555875976.

Manila Mayor Isko Moreno said appointments are necessary to ensure personal information of individuals getting tested will be secured.

The city government also said no serology testing will be conducted at the drive-thru RT-PCR testing center at Quirino Grandstand. —KG, GMA News
