Source points out in video how PDEA agents shot, killed QCPD cops

Agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency shot and killed police corporals Elvin Garado and Lauro de Guzman Jr. after they approached the PDEA agents' supposedly overheated car in the parking lot of a Commonwealth Avenue restaurant on Wednesday last week.

According to Marisol Abdurahman's exclusive report on "24 Oras", a source told GMA News that Garado was frisking the man at the driver's side of the car when he decided to rush to the other side because the man's companion tried to flee the scene.

A shootout ensued and a man, identified to be a PDEA agent, fell to the ground.

A man wearing a motorcycle helmet, whom the source identified De Guzman, as  was also seen beside the car during the shootout. He reportedly tried to stop a PDEA agent from shooting him but was felled by gunfire.

The woman who was with Garado when they approached the car was carrying a bag, which the source said contained the buy-bust money.

Garado reportedly tried to help De Guzman but was seen getting shot supposedly by a gunman from inside the car.

Another video clip showed one cop hiding behind a gas pump at the station across the fastfood restaurant where the PDEA agents' car was parked. He was hit and even took off his shirt to dress his wound.

Both the QCPD and the PDEA have maintained that they were at the scene on legitimate anti-drug operations. -NB, GMA News
