Malabon City Mayor Oreta tests positive for COVID-19

Malabon City Mayor Lenlen Oreta has tested positive for the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).

In a Facebook post, Oreta said he had his swab test done as part of the city’s contact tracing efforts. He received the positive result on Tuesday.

Oreta said he is asymptomatic and will be working from home in the following days.

He added there is already an ongoing contact tracing for those he had close contact with the past few days.

“This only shows na matindi pa rin ang epekto ng COVID-19 sa Malabon. Matinding pag-iingat ang kailangan lalo na ang pagsunod sa mga health protocols,” Oreta said.
