3 nabbed for robberies in Pasig used toy guns to scare victims
Three men used toy guns to taunt and rob their victims in Pasig and nearby areas, police said on Tuesday.
In a “24 Oras” report of Emil Sumangil, the three suspects were caught stealing goods from a convenience store in Pasig. They have also been accused of robbing call center agents and students walking alone at night.
Pasig police chief Colonel Moises Villaceran said the suspects were using fake gun that looked like 9mm pistols.
One of the victims said she was choked by one of the men as they tried to steal her cellphone. She said could not sleep after the incident.
“First time lang din po na nangyari sa akin iyon,” the victim said. (This is the first time that I have experienced something like this.)
Elements of Philippine police’s Criminal Investigation and Detection Group arrested the suspects in Taytay, Rizal who will then face appropriate charges.
Police said one of the suspects is also facing robbery holdup and carnapping charges in Pasig. — Consuelo Marquez/BM, GMA News
