DILG exec: Cash aid payout in NCR Plus finished before May 15
Cash aid distribution for the enhanced community quarantine-weary residents in Metro Manila and four neighboring provinces of Laguna, Rizal, Cavite, and Bulacan will be accomplished before the May 15 extended deadline.
Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Undersecretary and spokesman Jonathan Malaya told Super Radyo dzBB on Saturday that the payout process for qualified beneficiaries are now going smoothly, especially in the National Capital Region (NCR).
"The distribution is well ahead of deadline, some NCR LGUs can finish the distribution by the end of the month," Malaya said.
Likewise, he said that last Friday, the distribution rate was already at 66.87%, "meaning, P7,471,426,000" has been distributed.
According to him, the budget allotted for NCR alone is at P11.172 billion.
As of Friday's record, he said: "11,172,988 na tao na ang nakatanggap ng (individuals who received) cash aid in NCR, excluding those in the Bulacan, Cavite, Laguna and Rizal provinces."
Further, he said the top 5 LGUs in terms of distribution rate include Mandaluyong, San Juan, Caloocan, Manila and Quezon City.
He pointed out that the May 15 deadline is the final deadline -- no more extension is expected. —LBG, GMA News
