2 riders rescue woman trapped in vehicle in QC accident
Two riders helped the female driver of a vehicle that hit concrete barriers along Commonwealth Avenue in Quezon City late Tuesday evening, GMA News' James Agustin reported.
The riders helped the woman, who was trapped inside the AUV, which was badly damaged.
Prince Fuentes, one of the riders who helped the victim, said the car driver suddenly swerved before hitting one of the barriers and spinning twice before it stopped.
Aside from Fuentes, another rider stopped to help the driver.
They used a rock to break the glass window so they can lift the driver and carry her out of the vehicle.
"Kumakatok po siya. Ngayon po nakita namin yung loob umuusok po nagdecide na po kami basagin ng isang rider din po basagin na po kasi baka ma-suffocate," said Fuentes.
(The driver was knocking on her door. We also saw there was smoke inside the car so we decided to break the window because the driver might suffocate.)
The driver was brought to the hospital for a check up.
An investigation by the QCPD Traffic Sector 5 is underway. -- BAP, GMA News
