Manila Mayor Isko Moreno has mild COVID-19, is in stable condition, doctor says

Manila Mayor Francisco "Isko Moreno" Domagoso has been admitted to Sta. Ana Hospital on Sunday and was found to have a mild case of COVID-19, a hospital official said on Monday.

"Our honorable Mayor Francisco Domagoso was admitted last night August 15, 2021, here at Sta Ana Hospital. He has mild colds coughs and body malaise as presenting symptoms. He has no fever," Dr. Grace Padilla, director of Sta. Ana Hospital, said in a medical bulletin, according to GMA News reporter Mariz Umali on Twitter.

Moreno tested positive for COVID-19 and was taken to Sta. Ana Hospital on Sunday night.

The mayor said he had cough, cold, and body pains.

"His RTPCR test result turned out positive. Lab tests were taken, and the initial findings of his chest CT Scan result is normal. Our clinical impression: He has a mild covid disease," Padilla added.

Moreno is currently in stable condition and is being treated with antibiotics and supplements, she added.

"Presently, he is maintained on oral anti-biotics and vitamins as supplements. He is stable, comfortable and sleeping well," Padilla said.

Meanwhile, Manila Vice Mayor Honey Lacuna, who previously tested positive for COVID-19, "is on her way to recovery as she was admitted last week," the hospital director said.

Moreno's diagnosis came a week after Lacuna confirmed that she had tested positive for the coronavirus. —KG, GMA News
