Justice Jose Abad Santos General Hospital at critical level capacity, halts admission of patients

The Justice Jose Abad Santos General Hospital in Binondo, Manila has temporarily stopped admitting patients after its capacity reached a critical level Monday night.

Further, the hospital's emergency rooms and holding tents are at full capacity.

"Mas marami na ang naka-admit kumpara sa bilang ng kama, (the admitted patients have outnumbered our bed capacity)," read a post at the Facebook page of JJASGH.

"Kailangan munang magpauwi ang JJASGH ng mga pasyente upang makapag-admit muli," it added.

(We need to decrease the number of patients before we can resume the admission.)

Philippines has so far recorded a total of 2,248,071 COVID-19 cases, with 35,307 fatalities and 2,032,471 recoveries.

The country is also battling the community spread of the more infectious Delta variant, which reached 2,708 cases.—AOL, GMA News
