Lolo nabbed 10 years after allegedly hacking aunt

A 75-year-old man was arrested in Malabon 10 years after he allegedly hacked his aunt.

According to Emil Sumangil's "24 Oras" report, members of  the Criminal Investigation Detection Group - Detection and Special Operations Division (DSOD) served an arrest warrant against the suspect known as "Lolo Henry" who was accused of killing his aunt.

Police Colonel Redentor Ulsano of the CIDG DSOD said Lolo Henry had an arrest warrant sometime in January 2012 but he went into hiding somewhere in Luzon.

Witnesses of the crime positively identified the senior citizen as the suspect, Ulsano said.

The suspect refused to issue a statement on his arrest but denied committing the crime.

"Sabi niya, 'kakagising ko lang noong araw na 'yun tapos ako napagbintangan,'" Ulsano said.

(The suspect said he just woke up at that time when he learned that he was accused of the crime.)

The court in Antique will determine the custodial procedure of the suspect, who is a senior citizen. -- Consuelo Marquez/BAP, GMA News
