SC: In-court proceedings in NCR appellate collegiate courts allowed from Nov. 2-5
All appellate collegiate courts in the National Capital Region are allowed to conduct in-court proceedings from November 2 until November 5, the Supreme Court said Thursday.
The high court said proceedings on urgent matters and on other matters may be conducted as determined by the presiding justice or other chairpersons.
“But in-court attendance shall be limited to lawyers, parties, and witnesses required to participate in-court,” the SC said in an administrative circular.
“All others who are not required to be in-court but wish to observe the proceedings may do so through videoconferencing, subject to existing guidelines,” it added.
Meanwhile, the Supreme Court said the courts and offices must maintain a skeletal workforce not exceeding 30%.
The high court also reiterated that the period of filing and service of pleadings and motions has resumed seven calendar days from October 20. —Joahna Lei Casilao/KBK, GMA News
