DLSU suspends work, classes from Jan. 10 to 15, 2022 due to 'prevalence of illness'
De La Salle University on Friday announced the suspension of all work and classes from January 10 to 15, 2022 as almost 60% of its community are ill.
In a Facebook post, DLSU shared a statement from the Office of the Brother President saying that a health survey on Thursday showed prevalence of sickness among their community.
“With such prevalence of illness, COVID and non-COVID, classes at all levels (nursery to grade 12, undergraduate, graduate school including the College of Law) are hereby suspended from January 10 to 15, 2022,” it said.
“Work is also suspended on all campuses for the same period,” the office said.
Another health survey will be conducted on January 13 to inform the university's decision on the resumption of classes. Any adjustments in the academic calendar will be announced later, the university said.
“Let us pray for the quick recovery of those who are ill, and may we continue to remain vigilant and follow the IATF guidelines on safe distancing, hygiene, and sanitation protocols,” the office added. —Joviland Rita/KBK, GMA News
