Makati police investigating series of motorcycle thefts
The Makati City Police is investigating a series of motorcycle thefts in its barangays, according to Jonathan Andal's report on "24 Oras" on Sunday.
Several motorcycle thefts occurred in February in different barangays in the city.
Based on CCTV footage, a motorcycle rider was approached by a riding-in-tandem on February 24 at 2 a.m. to take his phone and motorcycle.
Two hours later, another riding-in-tandem stole a motorcycle in Barangay Cembo.
On February 23, a motorcycle was also stolen in Barangay East Rembo.
Another motorcycle was again stolen, meanwhile, in Barangay West Rembo.
Police said they are currently investigating if these were all carried out by one group.
The barangays also intensified their security measures. — Ma. Angelica Garcia/BM, GMA News
