In line with its preparations for the possible expansion of face-to-face classes, the Taguig City will open five new multi-storey school buildings.

According to the city government, the buildings include two seven-storey school buildings and three four-storey school buildings:

  • Seven-storey school building at Ciriaco P. Tiñga Elementary School in Brgy. Hagonoy;
  • Seven-storey school building with elevator at Ricardo P. Cruz Sr. Elementary School in Brgy. New Lower Bicutan;
  • Four-storey Tipas Elementary School Annex Building with covered court in Brgy. Calzada-Tipas;
  • Four-storey school building with basketball court at Bagong Tanyag Elementary School Main in Brgy. Tanyag; and
  • Four-storey school building with covered court at Kapt. Jose Cardones Memorial Elementary School in Brgy. South Signal.

Mayor Lino Cayetano said the school buildings are all equipped with air-condition, ceiling fans, water and electricity, and furniture.

"I am very happy with the results. All the credit goes to all the hardworking local government personnel who wholeheartedly performed their duties for the benefit of Taguigeños," he said in a press release.

Cayetano said the city government has been prioritizing investing in its students.

"Taguig will also reap the benefits as our students become productive members of society who will contribute on their own to the continued progress of the city," he said.
