Over P3.4M worth of ‘shabu’ seized, suspect nabbed in Manila op —police

Over P3.4 million worth of 500 grams of suspected shabu were seized during a buy-bust operation in Malate, Manila, the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) said Tuesday.

In a statement, the NCRPO said the suspect identified as Tato Sali or “Tonanmi” was arrested on Sunday in Barangay 702 in a joint operation conducted by the Malate Police Station, the Manila Police District, and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Regional Office IV-A.

The suspect was turned over to the PDEA for filing of charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

NCRPO chief Police Major General Felipe Natividad commended the police for the operation and warned drug peddlers that authorities will run after them.

"Tigilan ninyo ang pagbenta ng iligal na droga at wala kayong puwang sa matahimik at mapagsumbong na mga mamamayan na masusing binabantayan ng ating mga kapulisan sa Kalakhang Maynila,” he said.
