Tondo hospital limits admission of patients until May 2
The Gat Andres Bonifacio Medical Center (GABMC) in Tondo, Manila is temporarily limiting its admission of patients in its emergency rooms due to disinfection purposes from April 30 to May 2.
In a memorandum released by hospital director Dr. Teodoro Martin, the hospital said it limited its admission of patients to extreme cases starting Saturday, April 30 at 8 a.m., until Monday, May 2 at 8 a.m.
“Patients with other concerns will then be referred to other district hospitals for accommodation,” the Manila Public Information Office said in an advisory.
Meanwhile, the GABMC also appealed to other hospitals to accommodate other patients.
The hospital earlier closed its emergency room for disinfection activities, to effectively manage and discharge COVID-19 patients admitted in the hospital. —LBG, GMA News
