Policewoman cries after nursing abandoned baby, seeing infant smile

A baby, believed to be just five days old, was left under a tree in Barangay Bangkal in Makati City.

According to Raffy Tima's report on Saksi, the infant was clean and may have been left in the area to be seen and taken care of.

The person who could have left the baby was seen on CCTV.

While in the care of the Makati City police, Police Staff Sergeant Jazmin Danao nursed the baby when she realized the infant was hungry.

Danao herself has a baby, having just given birth.

"Dumede po siya kahit papa'no... Pagkatapos nakita ko naka-smile siya. Nakakaiyak," Danao said.

The baby is now in the care of the city's Social Development Center while authorities look for the mother. —NB, GMA News
