Woman taken while on phone with boyfriend, found dead

A woman was found dead by the brush on the roadside of the East Service Road in Sucat, Parañaque.

According to Nico Waje's report on "24 Oras", Aira Garcia was found dead, wounded, and stripped of her pants.

Her boyfriend Virgilio Esguerra said they were talking on the phone when he suddenly heard Garcia scream for help.

“Sabi niya, ‘Tulong, tulong’. May kumaluskos na dahon,” Esguerra said.

(She said, 'Help, help'. I heard something going down, rustling. I heard rustling leaves.)

Esguerra said he immediately called Garcia’s sister and they immediately sought help from the barangay.

He said Garcia might be on the East Service Road based on what he heard from the cellphone.

(She said she went down in Sucat. I heard on the cellphone no one was talking, but I heard the surroundings on the cellphone, the roads were cars passing by.)

The barangay officials went to the area and found the victim.

(She had no undergarment and there were wounds on her face. When we checked with our rescue team, she had a negative pulse and negative breathing.)

According to the Muntinlupa Police, they already have a person of interest based on Garcia’s friends and relatives, the suspect seemed to know the victim's route.

“It was found out na mayroon diyan isa na kumbaga nag-istalk sa kanya. Mayroon siyang post doon eh. Angel Garcillano, chief of police of Muntinlupa City, said.

(It was found out that there was someone there who seemed to be stalking her. He has a post there. He was like an informal settler where he knew where he was going to drag down the victim and where he's going to take it.)

Authorities continue to investigate and determine if the victim was allegedly raped before being killed. —Richa Noriega/NB, GMA News
