Over P7 million worth of drugs seized in buy-bust ops —NCRPO

Authorities seized more than P7 million worth of shabu and marijuana in separate buy-bust operations in Metro Manila, the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) said on Thursday.

Based on the report, police operatives seized 1,025 grams of suspected shabu amounting to P6,970,000 and one unit of motorcycle Yamaha Mio 125 MXi in a buy-bust operation in Langit Road corner Crusher Street, Barangay 176, Caloocan City on Wednesday.

Two suspects were arrested in the operation.

On the same day, Quezon City Police District personnel also arrested three suspects and seized 45 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated value of P306,000 in another buy-bust operation along G. Araneta Street corner Aurora boulevard, Doña Imelda, Quezon City.

Meanwhile, the Eastern Police District (EPD) also arrested two suspects in Pasig City on Tuesday night.

They confiscated from the suspects dried marijuana leaves amounting to P50,400.

NCRPO chief Police Major General Felipe Natividad said the seized pieces of evidence were brought to their custodial facility for proper documentation, disposition and pending filing of complaint for violation of Republic Act No. 9165 or Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2022.—LDF, GMA News
