2 men arrested for stealing telephone wires in Sampaloc, Manila

Authorities arrested two suspects for allegedly stealing some P50,000 worth of telephone wires in Manila's Sampaloc district, Jhomer Apresto reported Sunday on Super Radyo dzBB.

Citing information from the Manila Police District, the suspects were identified as 51-year-old Tito Arse and 22-year-old Ali Andrei Sarif.

A complainant reported the incident to the police, according to the MPD.

CCTV allegedly showed the thieves using a hacksaw and a ladder to cut the telephone wires.

In a follow-up operation, the cops were able to arrest the suspects at the corner of Miguelin Street and España Boulevard.

The suspects, who will face theft charges, have yet to comment on their arrest. — DVM, GMA News
