High school level applicants welcome at Arroceros Park job fair

High school students may apply at a job fair in Manila and some applicants have been hired on the spot. 

According to Bernadette Reyes' report on "24 Oras", the Mega Job Fair was held at the Arroceros Forest Park.

There are also openings for college-level applicants and college graduates as well as those in technical-vocational courses.

“Yung mga vacancies po natin ay para po sa iba’t-ibang uri ng educational attainment so mataas po yung tsansa na ngayon nga po ay ilan na po yung na-hire on the spot,” said Fernan Bermejo, Executive Assistant to the Mayor on Labor and Employment.

Citing the employment rate data in the Philippines, there are 2.5 million Filipinos currently unemployed, while 7.3 million are underemployed.

With this, the job fair offers over 5,000 jobs from over 60 employers, including in-demand jobs such as service crew, delivery rider, and Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) employees. —Sherylin Untalan/NB, GMA Integrated News
