Police studying filing of harsher complaint vs. bomb threat suspect

Authorities are considering the filing of a complaint for the violation of the anti-terror law against the suspect behind the bomb threat at the Ponciano Bernardo High School in Quezon City.

According to Mark Salazar’s report on “24 Oras”, police identified the suspect as Elfrank Emil Anthony Bacle Kadusale, 22, a resident of Barangay San Martin De Pores.

“Pinag-aaralan ng ating mga abogado na talagang kasuhan natin ito under the anti-terrorism law,” said Police Brigadier General Nicolas Torre III, Quezon City Police District (QCPD) district director.

A bomb threat message was received by the Facebook page of the school on Thursday.

Police then conducted evacuation among the students and teachers as part of the standard operating procedure.

“Any kind of bomb threat or bomb joke tini-treat natin yan as serious,” Police Lieutenant Colonel Joseph Elle Almaquer, PS7 station commander, said.

The bomb threat was found to be false after the EOD and K9 unit of the QCPD inspected the school. Classes were disrupted due to the bomb threat. —Richa Noriega/NB/KG, GMA Integrated News
