All Pasay jail escapees rearrested –SPD

With the rearrest of Richard dela Cruz, who had been detained for allegedly violating Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, the 10 detainees who broke out of the Malibay Detention Facility in Pasay City were back in custody, the Southern Police District (SPD) said on Tuesday.

According to Sam Nielsen’s report on Super Radyo DZBB, there were still no details on where dela Cruz was caught.

The persons under police custody (PUPCs) will be presented to the media at the Pasay Police Headquarters Office.

The other rearrested persons under police custody (PUPCs) as of Monday evening were:

•    Tirzo Galit
•    Joshua Panganiban
•    Christian Salvatierra
•    John Michael Cabe
•    Romeo Estopa y Marasigan
•    Carlo Magno Benavidez y Legaspi
•    Richard Dela Cruz (Violation of RA 9165)
•    Norman Deyta y Punzalan (Violation of RA 9165)

The detainees escaped from the detention facility in Barangay 152 early Monday morning.

They managed to break the iron bar of the main facility at around 4:30 a.m., then mauled the duty jailer and took his service firearm, cash, and jail keys. — DVM, GMA Integrated News
