Parañaque drug bust yields P49M worth of shabu
Authorities seized 7.2 kilograms of shabu worth P48,960,000 in an operation in Parañaque City on Tuesday, the Philippine National Police (PNP) said on Friday.
In a statement, the PNP said three people were arrested in the operation.
The following items were confiscated from the arrested individuals during the operation:
- Drug paraphernalia such as weighing scales, plastic sachets, lighters, and others
- SIx cell phones
- P500 bill buy-bust money
- Record notebooks, bank slips, ATM bank cards, and other financial documents
The arrested suspects have been placed under the custody of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) for proper disposition, the PNP said.
They will face charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, it added.
PNP chief Police General Benjamin Acorda Jr. commended the accomplishment of the operating law enforcers.
“Their commitment to safeguarding our communities and eradicating the drug menace is truly commendable. We will continue to support and empower our officers in their relentless pursuit of a drug-free nation", he said. —VAL, GMA Integrated News
