Parcels containing P5.97M worth of shabu seized from Pasay warehouse
Two parcels containing shabu valued at more than P5.97 million were intercepted in a warehouse in Pasay City.
According to the Bureau of Customs (BOC), authorities seized a total of 878 grams of shabu inside an inbound and outbound parcel at the DHL Express Cargo Warehouse.
The shipments were declared as an eyelash set, hair dryer, hairbrush, and bread toaster arriving from the US and to be shipped to Australia, but an X-ray screening and a physical examination yielded shabu worth at least P5,970,400.
The collected samples were turned over to the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency for a laboratory test, confirming the substances were shabu, considered dangerous drugs under Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. — Sundy Locus/VBL, GMA Integrated News
