Minor, mother nabbed for stealing money from parked car

A police operation in Quezon City led to the arrest of a 15-year-old minor and his mother for allegedly stealing cash amounting to P122,000 from a parked vehicle.

According to a ‘Saksi’ report by Russel Simorio on Thursday, the suspect was identified by an employee of a shop in Barangay Culiat where the car was parked.

The owner of the car reportedly left the vehicle unlocked for a few minutes to open the shop when the suspect took the bag.

A follow-up operation led to the arrest of the suspect and his mother, who was in possession of the bag and remaining P40,000 of the stolen cash.

The minor suspect will be facing charges for theft and will be turned over to social workers, while the mother will be charged for violation of the Anti-Fencing law.

Meanwhile, a 63-year-old victim in Lobo, Batangas was left wounded after a drunken argument led to a physical altercation.

According to a ‘Saksi’ report by Denise Abante on Thursday, victim Antonio Magnaye was hit with a metal rod at the back of the head and other body parts by his drinking buddy Rommel delos Reyes.

“’Yung pag-i-inuman is going by…
