Maynilad announces water service interruptions in parts of Manila this weekend

Maynilad, a water and wastewater services provider, has announced that there would be water service interruption in some areas in Manila this weekend.

"As part of Maynilad's continuous effort to improve its services in the West Zone Concession Area, we will be conducting the following network maintenance activities in Malate Manila, that will help reduce water losses in the area," Maynilad said in its advisory.

The following activities will be conducted starting 8 p.m. on September 30 up to 9 p.m. on October 1, 2023:

  • Replacement of a 1050-mm Gate Valve at Espiritu Pumping Station
  • Insertion of a 600-mm valve to allow for the decommissioning of a 750-mm-diameter pipe along Estrada Street, from Espiritu to Lemery, Malate, Manila

The company's clients in the following areas in Manila will experience temporary water service interruption: portions of Barangays 719, 726-733, 745-762, 769, 803, and 807.

"Affected customers are advised to keep some water stored daily so they have enough for their needs during hours of the day when supply will be unavailable," Maynilad said.

"Upon resumption of the water service, please let the water flow out briefly until it clears. We apologize for the inconvenience. This project is line with our effort to continuously improve water service." — BAP, GMA Integrated News
