9 injured in hours-long Valenzuela warehouse fire —BFP

Nine people, including eight responders, were injured in a fire that hit a warehouse in Barangay Bagbaguin, Valenzuela City, the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) said Friday.

The injured persons sustained first degree burns, abrasions, lacerations, blisters, and punctures on face, fingers, hands, legs, and feet, according to BFP’s update released at 3:44 p.m.

The fire started at 12:30 p.m., Thursday, and reached Task Force Bravo at 3:40 p.m.

As of 3:40 p.m. Friday, authorities are still trying to put out the blaze with a total of 38 fire engines already responded to the area.

A total of 118 families from three barangays were staying in an evacuation center due to the fire.—AOL, GMA Integrated News
